Running is not at all fun
Now even less under the hot sun
I've got no time to stop and chat
Been sorry for that poor dead cat :(
Running from the tall, blank glance
Since I don't want just one last chance
Thursday was a living nightmare
Sorry, dear brother, for what I dared
For trying to help you, trying to save
Deceiving you and the rest, but you are so brave.

Welp

Aside from the crapload of drama going down in the blogosphere, things are going pretty well (I guess?).

...this is exactly why I don't comment much. Or rather, part of the reason.
  1. Internet fights are nasty and I would rather stay out of them
  2. I'm almost always misunderstood when I post something
  3. I will not be accused of attention whoring if it's the last thing I do
  4. anything else that I forgot to mention

In other news, I'm still trying to decide on something for Experiment 3. I don't really want to do things that have already been tried a gazillion times, but that doesn't leave me with much.
*sigh* I'll figure something out.

Experiment 2

Date: Wednesday, April 6, 2011
Time: 6:34pm

Goal: To observe the effects of holy scripture on TDF

Supplies:
  • one holy scripture of your choice
  • one TDF
Steps:
  • wait for TDF to appear
  • attempt to use holy scripture to ward TDF off
Hypothesis: TDF will either leave or be completely unaffected

Results:
TDF appeared in my room right as I started to believe it wouldn't show up. I shrieked like a little girl and reflexively accidentally chucked my Bible at it. TDF caught said Bible, seeming somewhat confused. After a minute or so it placed the Bible down and left.

Conclusion:
The Christian Bible itself will have no effect on TDF.

Other Notes:
I had my ipod recording the entire experiment. Nothing showed up but static when I tried to look at the footage later.

Experiment 1

Date: Tuesday, March 15, 2011-Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Time: roughly 9:30pm-5:30am

Supplies:
  • single sheet of paper with classic Operator Symbol drawn on it in ink
  • tape
  • wall
Steps:
  1. tape Operator Symbol to wall
  2. go to sleep
  3. observe results in the morning and/or if woken up
Hoped-for results:
  • to keep TDF at bay
  • to get a good night's sleep
What actually happened:
I had an uninterrupted, peaceful night. However, I awoke in the morning to the smell of burned paper. The Operator Symbol had been burned to a crisp without setting any fire alarms off. Especially concerning because, since I am deathly afraid of fire, I have several smoke alarms installed in my bedroom.

Conclusion:
I will not be putting up an Operator Symbol again except perhaps in a dire situation.

Other notes:
I have had uninterrupted sleep except for the occasional nightmare (and of course that week of terror) since the experiment.

Resolve

I am not going to lie down and let it kill me.

It's too hot

I mean seriously. Its like we have a week of spring and then jump head first into summer ;_;
I'm on my school's golf team (whaddya mean it's not a sport) and we had to walk nine holes in freakin eighty degree weather.

Things I forgot to do to combat this weather:
-Wear a hat
-put sunblock on
-bring a water bottle
-get somehing filling to eat beforehand
-wear a light colored shirt

Not to mention that this was a golf course. Ergo trees.
It wasn't that bad. I think I only saw it oh... Five or six times.

Ok. Maybe that was bad. But I was in a group and it didn't actually do anything.

Now for some other stuff:
Frap- I hope things get better for you D:
Joce- I'd like to say essentially the same thing, but for different reasons
...you know, extend that feeling to everyone out there. We all need it.

Peace
-Jess

Dark

It's dark where I am right now, except for the screen in front of me. I'm in a room with no light.
But I like it when it's dark. Sure, the dark hides monsters, but there are good kinds of darkness too. Like the darkness of a mother's womb. And did anyone ever think that we could use the darkness to hide from the monsters?
That's how I feel right now.
